I grew up in rural Oklahoma. Coloring, cutting and pasting, allowing my imagination to create worlds of its own. My passion was fashioning clothes for my collection of Barbies. After high school I soon found myself studying Fashion Illustration and Design at The Colorado Institute of Art.
Over the years my creative journey took a different path. I became more focused on the process than the product. I was re~energized. In creating for process there are endless possibilities, a freedom that can take you anywhere. That’s how I ended up here, a Certified Expressive Therapist. I find great joy and satisfaction in intuitively sensing the needs of others, helping them to overcome their creative blocks.
Rather than interpreting the art created, I consider you to be the authority on your own experience. My role is to guide you in exploring your art work so that you may deepen your understanding of the images created, see how they apply to your current situation and make the changes you want in life.
I work in both inpatient and outpatient settings with adults and children, as well as my own private practice.
